Easily my favorite Italian place in the city. The squid ink pasta and truffle mac n cheese is to die for and their patio seating is super cute and romantic.

Special shout out to our server, Sarah, who took such great care of us!! We loved our experience at Alpana, which came to us through a work recommendation. Highly recommend the whipped feta and truffle honey, which is a great shareable dish. We got it with the prosciutto but still great without. However you decide to build your bite will work. The butter chicken meatballs were piping hot and so full of flavor. The sauce was perfect. I'm a sucker for anything mushroom on the menu so the ravioli was amazing. The pistachio pesto was fresh and so delightful. The strawberry shortcake sundae was the perfect way to finish our meal. We will definitely be back!

I had an amazing time here on Valentine's Day with my girlfriend. The prix fix menu was perfect. The soup, bread, and pasta couldn't have been any better. The staff is so polite and fast that you will never have to worry about anything. To end the night they also have delicious desert options to help sweeten that palate.

Alpana is a neighborhood staple and perfect for those visiting the city as it is right off Michigan Ave. the service is always incredibly friendly, and the decor is cozy, yet vibrant! I've dined here several times, and I've never been disappointed by the food. The pastas are a must, especially the tagliatelle verdura. You also always have to order the whipped feta every time. It's delicious!!

Came here again for brunch this time and was unexpectedly impressed by their menu. We ordered cinnamon roll for the table and it was great - not too sweet and freshly baked. I decided on the veggie croissant sandwich and it was the star of the show - all the veggies and toppings were paired well with the soft croissant that somehow still fills you up. The avocado toast wasn't bad and the fries were very tasty. We thought we wouldn't like the brunch menu but it's definitely one of the better veg-friendly brunch menus i have seen in that area.

We ordered poached eggs, omelette, avocado toast and a sandwich. Everything tasted delicious! The poached eggs were the best. The food did take a while to be prepared but are server was super friendly and kind. Each dish was about $15-20. The vibes in the restaurant were nice - perfect for a first date or a get-together. Overall rating: 8/10

Second trip to Alpana was enjoyable just like the first. Difference this time was I was with a larger table early on a Sunday evening, so a smaller crowd and less bustling atmosphere. Still attentive service and excellent good, along with a nice wine and cocktail selection. Hit dishes were the Venison Loin, Short Rib (polenta and red wine gravy were stars) and Strawberry Arugula Salad.
